Meet The Owner
Doanna Cupp Settimio was born and raised in a small town in the northern panhandle of WV. Her parents both owned their own businesses, and she worked alongside of them for many years. She always had various pets, but her love for canines has been the strongest. Her childhood dream career was back and forth between nursing and veterinary science.
She moved to Morgantown, WV over 35 years ago and begin a path down the healthcare road. After graduating nursing school in 1994 she has held many positions in the field from ICU to sales and informatics. She once helped adopt a rescue pup for a lonely patient who needed companionship and also fostered a dog for a former patient while they were placed in extended care for several months.
Doanna has two adult sons, Coalton and Gage, who reside in Morgantown as well. Their furry family consists of two dogs, Snowflake and Hammer, as well as her "grand dog" Duke. With her sons growing up she was looking for something to do that she would enjoy and be successful at while still maintaining her nursing career. When she came across Salty Paws, she knew this was the fit!
Doanna is excited to bring the Salty Paws Doggie Ice Cream Truck and Bakery to WV. The truck will be at events in Monongalia, Marion, and Preston counties ... as well as other WV counties. Coming soon will be a brick-and-mortar location to compliment the mobile unit.
